Yin is a very peaceful, calm and very mentally challenging practice. The perfect antidote for a busy active lifestyle, a relaxing class sets you up for the weekend ahead.

Yin Yoga works on the connective tissues: bones, skin, ligaments, tendons, and fascia. It focuses on longer holds than traditional Hatha postures. it plays around with our sympathetic nervous system. It is mainly mat based and postures can last anything from 90 seconds to 5 minutes. This gives us the opportunity to fully relax into the posture and feel the benefits.

Props will be provided in this session to aid in the practice. Props can be anything from blocks, straps to blankets for Savasana.

Yin yoga is a gateway to meditation, our 60-minute class is designed to focus the attention on the breath for a deep relaxation in Savasana.
